NARRATIVE SUMMARY HMM-364 flew 1,171.8 hours completing 1,441 tasks for 4,255 sorties, lifted 247.8 tons of cargo, carried 6,824 troops/passengers and flew 204 MEDEVAC missions with 130 emergency, 116 priority and 274 routine evacuees. HMM-364 was responsible for 2 KBAs confirmed and 5 probables. There were 14 enemy fire incidents directed against squadron aircraft with 4 aircraft receiving hits. The average daily aircraft availability was 11.2 and the aircrew availability was 14.1. PART III
8 April 1970 - Aircraft 154020 received bullet holes in skin of aft fuselage. Air- craft 153994 damaged 3 aft blades on an emergency MEDEVAC in an unsuitable zone. 9 April 1970 - High day for the month, HMM-364 flew 36 flights for 63.1 hours, 250 sorties, 109 tasks, carrying 88 passengers/troops and 25.2 tons of cargo and flew 25 MEDEVAC missions for 81 evacuees. 13 April 1970 - Aircraft 154807 received substantial damage in the aft pylon from burnt out flare while on an emergency MEDEVAC. 25 April 1970 - Aircraft 152576 tore off left main mount and ruptured left fuel cell while landing in an unsuitable zone while on an emergency MEDEVAC. 26 April 1970 - HMM-364 had 2 KBA confirmed. 27 April 1970 - Aircraft 153349 received numerous holes in aft pylon from set- ting down on a booby trap on an emergency MEDEVAC. 28 April 1970 - Aircraft 153573 damaged 3 aft blades while maneuvering into a Recon pick-up zone. |
